A bedtime gratitude exercise that everybody has time for
In the famous book The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace D. Wattles, he explains that “many people who order their lives rightly in all other ways are kept in poverty by their lack of gratitude.”
Being grateful for what we do have makes us a channel for more good to flow into our life. When we disregard all of the things working in our favour, even if they are disguised as difficulties, we seem to continually attract more struggle into our lives.
A powerful way to close out your day is this incredibly simple exercise that not only opens your eyes to the good in your life, but also forces your subconscious mind to continue scanning for more things to be grateful for.
When we are grateful, we are not in fear.
Closing out your day in a thankful manner
Grab a journal or a blank piece of paper and write today’s date at the top of the page. Next, write the following sentence:
“My three favourite parts about today were…”
Even if you felt like you had the worst day in existence, they could be as simple as “I woke up and said hi to my spouse, my coffee machine worked another day, I was able to put food on my table once again”
Even on the most difficult of days, being grateful puts you in a place of more than enough, and in short time you will continue to be met with more situations in alignment with abundance.
